Defibrillator Training

In December 2016 the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) made it known to First Aid training providers that defibrillator training must now be included with all First Aid training in the workplace, this had been mentioned earlier in the year and many First Aid training providers began including the training in their workplace training courses, and Warwickshire First Aid Training has included the extra training as standard from August 2016.

If an AED (defibrillator) is required and used within the first 3 minutes of an incident then this can improve the survival rate of the casualty by around 70%. AEDs (defibrillators) are more commonplace these days they can be found in locked cabinets in public places and are accessible via ambulance control, many businesses have them on their sites these days too.
