Doctors and clinical and non-clinical staff are required to undertake regular Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training to maintain their skill set to deal promptly with a medical emergency if a team member or patient becomes unwell.
This BLS & AED (CPD) course will equip you with the required skills and knowledge to perform CPR and how to use an AED (Defibrillator) safely and confidently in a medical emergency.
You will revisit and update your skills and knowledge to be able to provide treatment and assistance to a casualty who may be Choking, having a Seizure, or having a Heart attack.
This CPD course will be a balance of theory and practical skills with several training scenarios to put your learning into practice. Assessments will be carried out throughout the course and feedback be given to encourage you on your learning journey.
