Practical First Aid Training
First aid is a practical skill, so our courses aren’t just classroom theory.
You’ll have the opportunity to practise essential first-aid techniques and demonstrate your skills during practical assessments.
This includes performing CPR on a casualty on the floor, so learners should be physically able to carry out the required practical activities.
Our aim is to ensure that learners leave the course with more than a certificate – they have the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters.
First Aid at Work course duration
The First Aid at Work course is delivered over:
3 days / 18 guided learning hours
Training normally runs from approximately 9 am to 4 pm each day, although timings can be discussed for workplace courses.
First Aid at Work qualification
Successful learners receive the:
QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
The qualification is accredited by Qualifications Network UK (QNUK) and regulated by Ofqual.
The certificate is valid for three years from the assessment date.
At the end of the course, learners must complete the required assessments, including the multiple-choice examination and practical assessment.
How is the course assessed?
The course includes both theoretical and practical assessment.
Multiple-choice examination
Learners complete a 40-question multiple-choice examination.
A minimum mark of 70% (28 out of 40) is required.
Practical assessment
Learners must demonstrate the required first-aid skills during practical assessment.
This includes demonstrating first-aid procedures on the floor.
Successful completion of all required assessments leads to the QNUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF).
